Burn Baby Burn!

We all survived the first week of school and felt the need to celebrate! The Law's and the Duts joined us for a night of fire and fun!

Just the girls!

The Laws

The Duts....and Clar!

My husband loves getting his picture taken! And the kids are nowhere to be seen because the oh so exciting Wizards of Waverly Place movie was on and it trumped smores!

See Marshmallow Man

See Marshmallow Man burn

See Marshmallow Man melt and die

See the firey wrath in her eyes!

Where Did the Summer Go?

School started yesterday!
Check out my big first grader and second grader!

After they got home Daisey went on and on about her day giving me every little detail.
Isaac said, "It was good. There were nachos." Ha ha! He reminds me of his dad!
Every year I like to make them a "back to school treat". It all started with the school bus cake when Daisey started kindergarten. Now it's something they look forward to and it makes the first day special.
This year's idea came from Woman's Day. It's not quite the same, but you get the idea.
Our's says "Happy School Year Daisey (and) Isaac. They were thrilled!

Maggie helped. Here is her creation for Daddy!

Wow!

When did this happen?
She's SEVEN!
I'm just sayin'....

Short and sassy!

Ok, so I loved Maggie's hair long, it looked so cute....when she'd let me do it, or brush it, or shampoo it, or touch it! But often hair styling time turned into total melt down screaming and kicking and ripping the elastics out of her hair!
So after much thought and a particularly bad hair related tantrum I broke down and cut 6 inches off my baby's hair!
I think it turned out quite cute! And short and sassy definitely fits her personality! :)

Just Keep Swimming! Just Keep Swimming!

I am happy to announce that after only a week a swimming lessons my little fishies can swim!
Their no nonsense teacher doesn't allow parents to be there during lessons. But we were able to go watch on the last day of class. I didn't know what to expect. For all I knew we could have been paying this woman to let our kids play and splash around in her pool!
After watching my kids on Wednesday I must say that I am very impressed with how much they learned in such a short time! The change in their swimming abilities is amazing! They went from trying to dog paddle with floaties on to jumping off the diving board and swimming across the pool! Even Maggie is blowing bubbles in the water and floating on her back! We will definately be taking them back to her next year!

Teeth!

Between Daisey and Isaac the tooth fairy spent some serious money at our house!

Isaac's adult teeth grew in before his baby teeth fell out!
