On the 12th we went to the Marshall family reunion. We enjoyed good food, fun with cousins and the company of family. Daisey laughed her way through a pie eating contest! Isaac shot water balloons from a giant sling shot! Poor Maggie watched from the sidelines and ate cheetos!
Little bones heal quickly (thank goodness!) and Maggie only had to have the cute pink cast for a week. She is thrilled to be rid of it and is back to running down the street naked! It's good to have her back!
On the 18th we had our ten year high school reunion! Crazy! It was fun to catch up with friends after so long! I forgot to take my camera, but luckily Brynn and Clarissa were there and they both got some good pics.
Jackie and Jeff were in town for the reunion and as always, it was fun to hang out with them and their handsome little man, Ty!
On Saturday, the 19th my mom and I had planned on driving down to Sandy to throw a baby shower for my Aunt Sandra. But, plans changed when baby Kylee decided to make an early entrance on Friday night! We went down to the hospital to see mommy and baby on Sunday. Congratulations Montague family! Grandma and Grandpa Roush were there also so we thought we'd take a 4 generation photo. Daisey was less than cooperative, but after 4 tries we got one without her making a face!
July 24th was both Mom's birthday and Pioneer Day. We celebrated Mom's birthday on Sunday with a family bbq. On Pioneer Day Robert and the kids took part in a great opportunity that is called the "Smithfield Lawnmower Parade". No kidding! They have one every year on the street that we live on! There were 10 lawnmowers in total, music on loud speakers and quite a few viewers lined up and down the street! It was quite the experience, I have no words to describe it, but I do have pictures! A special thank you to our dear friends the Dutsons and the Laws for enjoying the parade with us! Special thanks to Jess, without his sweet lawnmower this experience would not have been possible! And thank you to Eric for the use of the lawn tractor trailer!
Oh, and I must mention the fact that I made ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY spudnuts on Pioneer Day! I thought it would be a fun thing to do on the 24th of July. Never again! Unless I make a fourth of a batch anyway! Hope the neighbors liked them! :)
Maren and Jeff were in town and we got together on the 25th. There was good food and good times to be had! And of course, a few rounds of hand and foot!
